Union’s budget proves that the city is financially solid. This week, the Union City Council adopted a 2018-19 general fund budget of $4.65 million… down about 12 percent for the current budget. But although it is less, the new budget will still allow the city to retain all of its programs and staff. Mayor Leonard Flint said that the city is on solid ground financially. The new budget adopted this week by city leaders, is the one the city’s budget committee recommended in April.
