In preparation of Memorial Day weekend, Cliff & Travis highlight a song, composed by a retired U.S. Army Lieutenant, dedicated to current and former members of all branches of the U.S. military – America’s Heroes.
The composer, Michael Miller of Bethesda, Maryland, was a former Lieutenant of Artillery in the U.S. Army, from 1955 – 1957. His father, Severn A. Miller, served as a Lieutenant of Infantry in the A. E. F. in the trenches of France during World War I, and his brother, Edmund S. Miller, served as a Lieutenant (j.g.) and Executive Officer of a front lines LCI Gunboat in the Pacific during World War II.
Michael Miller loved the United States and respected its military deeply, until his passing in February 2019. Because of his service to our country, and his family member’s service, he was inspired to compose this march, in order to honor current and former members of all branches of the U.S. military by dedicating it to them.
America’s Heroes Foundation is a nonprofit charitable foundation, whose sole purpose is to hold and, if necessary, protect the copyright of the America’s Heroes March.
