A car fire turned out to be a close call for Imnaha Store and Tavern. Neighbors who strung together hoses from their homes, were able to put out the fire before firefighting apparatus arrived. A heavy equipment operator unloaded a backhoe from a trailer, and used to to lift the hood of the burning SUV so water could be sprayed on the flames that were coming from the vehicle, parked directly in front of the store. Nobody was hurt, and a potential disaster was averted.
