The goodness of the holiday season shined bright this past Friday and Saturday at Blue Mountain Conference Center… The 31st annual Festival of Trees raised at least $43,000 for the community. The auction of 25 decorated Christmas trees, resulted in each of them being sold, depending on size and decorations, for between $900 and $7,000 at the Festival of Trees gala Friday night. Money for community groups was also raised Saturday during a raffle and a silent auction, and a total of $13,000 in scholarship money for graduates of Union County high schools was also raised.
