On Friday, Governor Kate Brown said her administration would step up enforcement of her rules governing face covering, physical distancing and occupancy standards for businesses. State officials say they have begun to conduct spot checks and inspections across Oregon to ensure restaurants, bars other businesses and their patrons comply with state alcohol laws, and the requirement to wear a face covering in indoor public spaces. The Oregon Health Authority on Friday reported 344 new cases statewide, including eight more in Union County, bring the county’s total to 355.
