Parents of students in the La Grande School District were notified late last week, that a staff member has been diagnosed with COVID-19 at La Grande High School. The staff member has not been in their school since last Monday. Workers are now deep cleaning the staff member’s location and the working areas they have utilized, along with common work areas, and they will continue the daily practice of sanitizing and disinfecting high touch surfaces at all locations. At this time, the school district will not be closing any buildings. They say it will simply be a reality as the district continues to open up and have more students in the buildings.
