According to a recent study, nonprofit arts and culture generated $1.2 million in economic activity in the 2016 fiscal year in Baker, Wallowa and Union counties. In total, the estimated spending by the nonprofit arts and culture industry was more than $687 million in Oregon in 2016, and the industry supported 22,299 full-time equivalent jobs and generated $29.3 million in local government revenue.
