If you live within the city limits of Union and you have a thing for ducks, you might enjoy this story. The Union City Council wants to draft an amendment to the city’s animal ordinance that would allow city residents to be able to keep ducks and other fowl as pets. The current laws only allow chickens. If the proposal is granted, Union residents could keep just about any type of fowl… except peacocks, guinea fowl and geese. They would all be excluded because of the annoying noises they make, and because geese often are mean and will bite people.
